Students in foreign language classes should use this guide for aid in finding library materials.

Searching the Library Catalog

The best way to search the Library catalog is to go to the Subject search box, and type: Spanish language materials.

This will bring up items that help you learn Spanish, but also books and films that are in the Spanish language.

Online Videos for Learning Spanish

The Films on Demand database offers a variety of instructional videos to help you learn a new language. These titles are just a sample to get you started!

Spanish in Three Minutes -- This 25-part series covers basic elements of conversation, such as greetings; introducing yourself; saying "please" and "thank you"; asking "how much," "where," and "why"; making an apology, and much more.

Espana Viva -- In this series, the host travels through Spain, interviewing people about their typical activities, including grocery shopping, dining out, traveling, and staying in a hotel.

Standard Deviants School: Spanish Series -- The Standard Deviants actors use humor to teach basic Spanish language skills, including pronunciation, pronouns, nouns, and verbs.

Ultimate Guide to Spanish Pronunciation -- These lessons focus on the correct pronunciation of vowels and consonants; which syllables are accentuated; and a review of mistakes to avoid.
