Online Videos for Learning German

The Films on Demand database offers a variety of instructional videos to help you learn a new language. These titles are just a sample to get you started!

German in Three Minutes -- This 25-part series covers basic elements of conversation, such as greetings; introducing yourself; saying "please" and "thank you"; asking "how much," "where," and "why"; making an apology, and much more.

Talk German -- Each episode of this series includes travel to a different location in Germany, including an art gallery in Munich; tourist attractions in Bavaria; and an automobile factory where BMWs are built.  

Deutsch Plus -- These 20 lessons are geared toward students who already have some basic German language skills. The series follows the activities of a man who has moved to Germany to start a new job, and needs to learn his way around the town and his new workplace.

Ultimate Guide to German Pronunciation -- These lessons focus on the correct pronunciation of vowels and consonants; how to approach the letter "S"; which syllables should be accentuated; and a review of mistakes to avoid.
