If you need help finding sources for your topic, the NCC librarians can assist you. You can visit us in person at the research help desks in the libraries or you can contact us online. Use our Ask the Librarian chat, email us your questions, or call to leave a message. A librarian will respond to you as soon as possible.
You can also schedule a Book a Librarian appointment to meet on a day and time convenient to your schedule.
Librarians are online Monday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m, and Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Our hours may differ during holidays, interim, winter, and summer sessions. Outside of these hours, our Ask the Librarian chat is staffed by Visiting Librarians from our after-hours service.
You can contact a librarian by e-mail by sending your question to:
We can give you more detailed help if you attach a copy of your assignment to your message. Be sure to let us know the best e-mail address to reach you at, so we can send documents and sources to you if needed.

If you need to leave a message, be sure to include your name, phone number, course you’re taking, and your research question. One of the Librarians will get back to you as soon as possible, during the hours that the Library is open.
You can find more video tutorials for our databases on the NCC Libraries YouTube channel.
Many of the databases available through the NCC Libraries have help pages through their official websites as well. An example of this is EBSCO Discovery Service. There may be additional video tutorials available on YouTube.
